This is an exhibit of art created by Johannes A.S. Oertel and displayed in St. James Episcopal Church in Lenoir, North Carolina. An Episcopal priest and painter, Oertel served this church from 1869 to 1874. The church now owns one of the largest collections of his art, a total of eighteen paintings, and displays this art for the public.
